Yae for the Saints!!! Congrats on not only a Super Bowl win but an awesome season. I'm from an area of the country who was mostly chanting, "anybody but Peyton and the Colts" but I was thrilled to see the Saints go ALL THE WAY!!

Now on to baseball...go Red Sox! :)

dearest Katherine,
Mary and I watched the Superbowl and Cheered on the Saints all night! We know how much you love them, and we've always cheered them on for ya.. but this game was so especially amazing.. We were rooting for the whole city of New Orleans and everyone in Louisiana. The Colts came into that game so over hyped, I mean don't get me wrong, Peyton Manning is a great quarterback, they are a good team, but the hype was almost too much to bear. The media underplayed the Saints as almost a second thought, "they're the underdogs, it's their first superbowl ever, hey! how bout that payton manning"!!!
It was GREAT football! started off a little shaky, but once they settled, they were ON! My only issue, although I thought Drew Brees was incredible, is that I thought their should have been two MVP's! Kicker Garrett Hartley not only got the team on the boards and consistently kept them there, he had 3 FG's well over 40 yards!!!! THAT to me was an incredible feat of concentration and ability. I just thought he deserved a mention after the fact, and didn't hear too much about him after the game. The video of Drew Brees and his son on the field was so touching.. we were sittin here just crying.. what that must have been to be able to share that with your child.. He was so adorable.. it was the perfect picture to top of a fantastic season ending with the Lombardi trophy being held up by an entire city of people... you could feel it.. We were and are so excited for both you, the team and all of those fans in New Orleans who have waited so long for this day.. Congratulations!
We also just watched E!'s coverage of Live on the Red Carpet for "Valentine's Day in hopes to see you there, but sadly we didn't see you.. not even in the background.. but we will be there friday night! the first in several dates for our Valentine's weekend of fun! can't WAIT to see this movie!
